CIF FOOTBALL
it was my pleasure participating on the football team as a junior. Savanna's football team had always been in the cellar. During the 1980 to 1983 years the football team had only 1 win in 40 games (and that was by forfeit). Savanna hired a new football coach named Alex Henderson (Hendo). He coached us and had us believe we could win. That year we went 7 and 3 and made it to C.I.F. We played La Mirada high school and lost in a close game. Hendo was named Orange County coach of the year and was offered a job as the head coach at Sanat Ana juniour college. Hendo took the job and was replaced by Coach Ron Milner. We lost every game in 1985.
